Who can get a BCIT Student ID Card?

If you are a current registered student and have paid your fees for a course or a program you are eligible for a card. [top]

How can I apply for a card online?

To get a card online follow the instructions and complete the form.  You will be required to pickup your card in person and must show valid government issued photo ID.  Please familiarize yourself with the cardholder agreement. [top]

How long does it take to get a card in person?

If you are in the ID card system it usually takes a few minutes.  However, if you've just registered and paid your fees it will take 48 hours for your record to be transferred from the Registration Office to the ID card system, therefore you will not be able to get your card until after that period. [top]

What do I need to bring for identification?

You need your student number and a piece of government issued photo ID. [top]

Where can I get a card in person?

Burnaby Campus - for all BCIT Students and BCIT Alumni: Library foyer - SE14 during regular Library hours

Downtown Campus - for all BCIT Students: the Student Image Centre on the second floor, 604-412-7620.

Great Northern Way Campus - for BCIT GNW students only: Pictures will be taken at the BCIT Trades reception area.

Marine Campus - for BMC students only: Pictures will be taken in the Marine Campus Library, 604-453-4107.

Aerospace Technology Campus - for ATC students only: Pictures will be taken in the Aerospace Technology Library, 604-419-3708. [top]

Can I call to find out if my card is ready?

Yes, you can contact us at 604-451-6890 to find out if your card is ready for pickup.  [top]

I am a Distance Education or On-Line Learner, can I still get a student card ?

Yes.  Distance Education and On-Line Learners can get a BCIT Student ID Card.  Distance Education cards will not include a picture and photo ID may be required to use it.  Get your card online today. [top]
