Full-time Studies

Full-time programs offered by the School of Business are listed on our areas of study page. We offer full-time programs that range from three-month certificates to four-year degrees.

When accepted into a full-time program, you are automatically registered into all the courses you need for program completion. You're assigned to a group of 16-24 students, called a set, to share all the classes for the semester or school year.

Expect to be with your set for 30+ hours a week-- 5 to 8 hours a day, five days a week starting as early as 8 a.m. and usually ending before 5 p.m.

At least half of your assigned hours, often more, will be spent in the classroom. The rest will be used for hands-on training in a lab, or real-world situation practicing the skills you'll need when you enter the workforce. You’ll work in groups of two to 10 on practical projects to help you develop teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Business and industry often sponsor our student projects.

You should also expect a pretty rigorous workload from most full-time programs. We didn't get our reputation as Canada's Premier Polytechnic by having low expectations or standards. If you're not sure whether you want to tackle the load of a full-time program, you might want to have a look at some of the part-time or distance & online learning courses we offer.
