There are three program areas within the Operations Management Department for you to choose from. In all three options, the first year is dedicated to teaching you core concepts such as accounting, communications, marketing computer applications, and business problem solving processes. The second year has a more specific focus based on the program you choose.
In your second year of the Operations Management Program your courses include e-commerce, production / inventory management, quality assurance, logistics, purchasing, supply chain, and technical graphics. You’ll also undertake a major real-time industry project to apply your training.
The International Trade and Transportation Logistics will provide you with a broad understanding of business concepts applicable to trade and transport on the international stage including successful market analysis, effective entry strategies, knowledge of transportation alternatives, and logistics planning.
Upon completion you’ll have a clear grasp of business fundamentals such as accounting, human resources, marketing and operations and you will recognize the value of Information Technology as a tool for business improvement. You’ll also have hands-on computer skills to solve specific business problems.
Each program offers a two-year (full-time) diploma, as well as (part-time) certificate and associate certificate options. We also have a one-year Advanced Placement option, offering you direct entry into 2nd year courses providing you hold a recognized diploma or degree.
