Senior Certificate in Financial Management
The Senior Certificate in Financial Management is the second credential towards earning your Diploma of Technology in Financial Management on a part-time basis. This program provides graduates of a Management Certificate in Financial Management with a broad spectrum of business knowledge and skills, complimenting the relevant knowledge already attained in the Management Certificate.
Unless previously completed as part of a Management Certificate, the following courses may be required to achieve the Senior Certificate in Financial Management:
- BSYS 1001 - Business Information Systems 1
- BSYS 2051 - Business Information Systems 2 (Spreadsheets)
- BSYS 2061 - Business Information Systems 3 (MS Access)
- BUSA 2005 - Principles of Management
- COMM 1103 - Introduction to Business and Technical Communication (COMM 1106 may be substituted for COMM 1103)
- COMM 2202 - Business and Technical Correspondence
- COMM 2203 - Business and Technical Reports
- ECON 2100 - Microeconomics
- ECON 2200 - Macroeconomics
- FMGT 2540 - Working Capital Management (FMGT 1540 may be substituted for FMGT 2540)
- FMGT 2711 - Computerized Accounting
- FMGT 3210 - Cost & Managerial Accounting 1
- FMGT 3410 - Taxation 1
- FMGT 4210 - Cost & Managerial Accounting 2
- FMGT 4410 - Taxation 2
- MKTG 1102 - Essentials of Marketing
- MKTG 1323 - Effective Public Speaking
- OPMT 1197 - Statistics for Business and Industry
