Shipping & Handling Information
We do not send orders via Canada Post to residential or business addresses. All shipments are sent via Bookstore contracted couriers for tracking purposes. No exceptions. Posted rates are subject to change without notice. The BCIT Bookstore reserves the right to alter your shipping method in order to best expedite the shipping process and maintain our service standards.
All of our delivery methods require a signature. Please keep this in mind when specifying your shipping address. If no one is there to sign for the delivery, a notice is left with instructions on where the package can be picked up. Alternatively, you might consider shipping to your workplace, if possible.

Can't make it in to pick up your order during regular business hours?After hours pick up at the Burnaby Campus Library is available. Please note seasonal closures at the ATC and BMC libraries that could affect pick-up availability.
Need a textbook for your Surrey, Langley or other satellite location course?
BCIT Bookstore will waive the courier fee, once per term, for mandatory textbooks for BCIT students enrolled at BCIT satellite locations (not Burnaby or Downtown). If you are taking multiple courses in a single term, order your books all at once to save on the shipping fee.
Import duties, taxes, and tariffs for international orders are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are your responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to ordering.
Unfortunately, BCIT Bookstore cannot track shipping with Canada Post (P.O. boxes). The shipment will be sent to you at your own risk. If your shipment is lost, you will have to reorder and purchase again.
Online orders are ready for pick up two business days after your order is placed and will be held for 60 days. We will attempt to contact you at the email address you provided us if your order has not been picked up by this time. After 60 days, any unclaimed purchases will either be recycled or reabsorbed into inventory without refund. Please allow additional processing time for orders placed the weeks prior to and during January, April, and September Rush.
