To help students learn about entrepreneurship and developing a business idea and pitch for the Student Innovation Challenge, the BCIT School of Business and the BCIT Applied Research Liaison Office run free lunch hour workshops for students. These workshop sessions are open to ALL students interested in learning more about entrepreneurship and business planning. Past workshops have been saved here, organized by topic:
One of the most important things to consider before investing valuable time and money into your idea, is market research. In a world where most go to Google for their research needs, people have neglected to look into the wealth of resources in Libraries.
The Library is populated by professionals who research, source and verify information, unlike Google where it is the responsibility of the searcher to fact check and verify sources.
The BCIT Library contains information, resources and reports that are either unavailable to the general public or only available only through purchase.
Complimenting Karen’s presentation, Lin Brander & Deirdre Grace from the BCIT Library presented some of the key market research resources available at the Library.
