The Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP) has a broad mandate to increase the chance of success as BC entrepreneurs and SME's move along their commercialization path.  Our process involves assessments and referrals to the following services and resources:

Assessments:

• business assessments: initial assessment is free for BC entrepreneurs and SME's.  We will identify at which stage of commercialization your product or service resides, assess your needs,  help prioritize action items and identify potential resources.
• market assessment strategies and resources: provide a foundation for establishing the commercial potential of your product concept

Projects:

• patent and technology transfer services
• technology and product feasibility assessments with the Technology Centre
• sales and fund raising pitch development
• applied research projects
• prototype design and development

Resource Referrals:

• business planning workshops and programs at the Peter Thomson Center for Venture Development
• referrals to funding and grant sources
• referrals to BCIT Industry Services
• commercialization workshops - register for our next bootcamp
• support and networking through the Virtual Business Hub
• BCIT "Business Start-Up Guide" - A resource package of helpful links to guide you through the beginning stage of the business start-up and products or service commercialization process, compiled by the CAP team.
• Commercialization BC -  A resource for BC businesses wanting to develop new products.
