In an outstanding demonstration of student support, BCIT alumni, students and friends helped us to reach the $1 million goal for the Alumni Association Scholarship and Bursary Endowment in May. Thank you for your generosity and participation.

The journey to reach this goal has been inspiring, particularly since 2008 when we announced the $1 million commitment for the fund. We chose to expand our fundraising program and launched our first Sharing Success Alumni Calling Campaign to reconnect with graduates. Alumni and friends gave back in record numbers – helping us to achieve the goal seven months earlier than planned.

To date, 619 students have received awards valued at a total of $585,522. To learn more about the impact of donor support on students, read our student stories.

The Sharing Success Campaign also helped to strengthen relationships between alumni, students and BCIT. As we head towards BCIT’s 50th anniversary in 2014, we soon look forward to establishing a new vision for this campaign so BCIT alumni, donors and friends can play a large part in the milestone celebrations.
