To be successful in BCIT’s applied learning environment, applicants must demonstrate a suitable level of English in all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. The English Language Proficiency requirement is program specific. Find your program online and refer to the program entry information.
Those applicants who are lacking the appropriate English language level for their desired program will be required to demonstrate their competence through either the ISEP or PELD courses, or by taking an English 12 equivalent course.
Permanent residents should be aware that in regards to applicant priority for high demand programs, you are in the same category as Canadian citizens if you have been a BC resident for 12 continuous months or more immediately before enrolment.
