What is sponsorship?
Sponsorship refers to a company or agency that agrees to be invoiced for the tuition fees associated with a student's registration.
Books and supplies are not included in the sponsorship. Please contact the BCIT Bookstore at 604-432-8379
or email bookstore@bcit.ca for information on how to order textbooks.
Sponsorship is an option for both part-time studies and full-time studies.
Please contact BCIT Apprentice Services for information about sponsorship for apprenticeship training.
Part-time studies
To register a student and have the sponsoring company/agency invoiced for the tuition fees, please submit the following mandatory forms:
Please note: If a student is authorized to receive funding for completion of all courses required for a BCIT credential, new forms must be submitted
for each term the student is registered.
Completed sponsorship registrations can be faxed to 604-430-1331, emailed to sponsorship@bcit.ca, or mailed to:

Part-time studies sponsorship procedures

BCIT will only process sponsorship registrations that are completed in full. The sponsoring company/agency will receive an email
confirming receipt of the sponsorship registration. Please provide an email address in the authorization letter.

Some courses require approval from the program area prior to registration. The student is responsible for obtaining this approval
prior to submitting the sponsorship registration.

If you wish to pay by credit card at the time of registration, BCIT will not consider this a sponsorship. Please submit the regular Part-time Studies Registration [PDF, 112 KB], phone Student Information and Enrolment Services at 604-434-1610, or register online.

BCIT will mail an invoice to the sponsoring company/agency. Once received, invoice payment can be made by credit card, cheque or electronic funds transfer. BCIT payment terms for sponsorship invoices are net 15 days.

If a student withdraws from a course before the refund deadline or a course is cancelled, the sponsoring company/agency will receive a refund cheque for any payment made on the invoice, in accordance with BCIT's PTS refund policy.

Student confidentiality is very important to BCIT. Under provincial privacy regulations, BCIT cannot release any personal information regarding the student or
the student's account to any third party without written consent.

Confirming registration at myBCIT.

Providing BCIT with current contact and personal information, and advising BCIT immediately of any changes.

Reviewing BCIT's FTS refund policy.

Submitting a completed Full-time Technology Withdrawal [PDF, 42 KB] or Trades Withdrawal [PDF, 48 KB], if the student wishes to withdraw from the program.

Paying the program tuition fees in the event the sponsoring company/agency refuses to resolve the invoice.
